A Welcome Message from the Superintendent

Welcome to the Region One School District. Our districts are well known for the high quality educational experiences students participate in while attending our schools. Region One School District consists of six towns - Canaan, Cornwall, Kent, North Canaan, Salisbury and Sharon. Each town, under an autonomous board of education, maintains an elementary school that offers pre-kindergarten through grade eight educational programs. Housatonic Valley Regional High School serves grades nine through twelve for Region One, offering a comprehensive program of studies.

Working in collaboration with families and communities, Region One School District's goal is to enable students to develop their potential as effective citizens and lifetime learners.

For 2010/2011 school year Region One would like to invite you to join our team of substitutes. We are currently in need of substitute teachers, ed. paraprofessionals, custodians, and nurses for each of our 6 six elementary schools and 1 high school.
