The Region One Curriculum Development Committee
The primary role of the Region One Curriculum Development Committee is to establish a cycle of review, design, implementation and evaluation of all curricula in the Region One K-12 system. This committee is supported by funding through the Professional Development Committee. Additionally, the committee functions to:

oversee the development and continued operation of standing curriculum committees for each curriculum area in the Region One K-12 program

establish a communication link with the Professional Development Program Committee

assist in the development and implementation of regional level professional development programs to support regional curriculum initiatives

develop evaluative guidelines for regional curriculum that include analysis of student learning

oversee on-going assessment and evaluation of all regional curriculum

assist in the identification of appropriate personnel, programs, and human resources for professional development programs and activities at the regional and local levels

align regional curriculum to the State of Connecticut Frameworks for K-12 content standards and future state curriculum guidelines

Meetings
The Committee will meet semi-annually, with the option of additional meetings, if necessary.
