    Falls Village, CT: At a special meeting on May 31, 2022, the Region 1 Board of Education appointed Dr. Jeanine M. Rose its new Assistant Superintendent of Schools, effective July 1, 2022.     The Superintendent is reviewing the CT General Assembly decision with respect to the change in mask requirements in our schools. There will be a formal statement about the Region 1 decision as soon as the Superintendent completes discussions with all Region 1 Boards of Education and after the receipt of specific guidance from the CT Departments of Public Health and Education. The decision will be communicated on or before February 28th.
